Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Job Description: We are actively seeking experienced and passionate Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) to join our growing team in Maryland. As an RBT at Move Up ABA, you will have the opportunity to make a difference in a child's life by providing direct 1:1 ABA therapy in the client’s home and community-based settings. Your responsibilities will include implementing treatment plans, collecting data, completing session notes, and other ABA-related tasks.

Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct 1:1 ABA therapy in the home and community environments
  • Implement individualized treatment plans and programs as directed by the supervising BCBA
  • Conduct data collection and submit session notes in a timely manner
  • Collaborate and communicate clearly with peers, supervisors, and families
  • Participate regularly in staff meetings and required trainings
  • Assist in restructuring environments and activities to support clients’ behaviors
  • Teach skills that enable effective communication and functioning
  • Review behavior plans and instructional materials developed by behavior analysts
  • Facilitate consistent implementation of behavior plans and monitor outcomes
  • Complete daily session notes promptly
  • Other duties as assigned

Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Qualifications and Skills:

  • Active RBT Certification from BACB in good standing
  • 6 months of experience working with children and/or adolescents with Autism Spectrum Disorder (Preffered)
  • Proficiency in behavior reduction and skill acquisition strategies (Preffered)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Valid state identification card and reliable transportation
  • Successful completion of a criminal background check
  • Effective verbal and written communication in English (Spanish is a plus)
  • Ability to lift or carry 50 pounds, bend, squat, kneel, and sit on the floor
  • Ability to prevent elopement or give chase as necessary to ensure client safety
  • Willingness to receive feedback and follow directions from BCBA supervisor
  • Compassion and patience when dealing with clients and families
  • Ability to obtain CPR, First Aid, and other required training certifications
