Job Responsibilities

  • Inspect all room equipment and furniture for signs of damage and repair or replace as needed
  • Ensure that hotel rooms are kept in a sanitary condition and comply with health codes
  • Perform preventive maintenance activities, such as lubricating parts, replacing filters, and cleaning equipment
  • Test and troubleshoot electrical systems and components
  • Repair or replace plumbing fixtures, wiring, air conditioning units, and other equipment
  • Perform regular maintenance of hotel room furniture, such as cleaning upholstery and polishing wood surfaces
  • Perform minor repairs on doors, walls, and ceilings
  • Ensure that hotel rooms are stocked with necessary supplies, such as towels, toilet paper, and soap
  • Report any major problems or damages to the hotel manager
  • Follow established safety procedures when performing maintenance work


Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in hotel maintenance or a related field
  • Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and other maintenance concepts
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair minor issues
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to work in confined spaces
  • Ability to work with a variety of hand and power tools
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Knowledge of applicable safety regulations and standards
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently
  • Ability to read and understand safety instructions
