POSITION SUMMARY: Food comforts the soul and excites the taste buds! As a Server - Dining Associate, your role in bringing delicious meals to our residents is crucial. This position may prepare food and drinks, serve meals, follow basic menus and recipes, restock inventory, and keep records. By following sanitation, food handling, and safety policies, as well as building relationships with those around you, you will provide excellent service to our residents.


RATE OF PAY:

  • The starting base rate of pay for Server is $13.10 - $17.03 per hour, based upon previous experiences and qualifications.

WORK SCHEDULES:

  • Flexible scheduling available - positions available.
  • Schedules are provided in advance, based upon staffing needs and selected candidate's availability.
  • Schedules include every other Sunday rotation with opportunity to work 1-4 weekdays per week (typically no Saturday hours).
  • 4:00pm - 8:00pm, weekdays
  • 9:30am - 3:00pm, Sundays



Requirements:

As a condition for employment, VMRC requires all employees to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19. If selected for a pending job offer, the candidate will be required to receive the COVID-19 vaccination(s) or provide proof of prior COVID-19 vaccination(s) before the date of hire.

  • High school graduate or hold GED equivalent preferred but not required.
  • Position requires long hours standing with the ability to lift and carry up to 35 pounds.
  • Be able to read, write, speak, and understand the basics of the English language and follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Possess basic mathematical skills.
  • Ability to act and intervene independently in routine and emergency situations.
  • Available to work overtime, holidays, and weekends as scheduled.
  • Willingness to cross-train in various job duties within VMRC Dining Services.
  • Ability to deal tactfully with residents, families, coworkers, and the general public in a positive, professional, and customer-first manner.
