Licensed Massage Therapist- PRN Contracted

POSITION SUMMARY: A licensed massage therapist who plans, organizes, and directs home care and hospice services according to physician treatment plan. The professional nurse builds from the resources of the community to plan and direct services to meet the needs of individuals and families within their homes and communities. The professional nurse may assist with public health programs and serve as RN case managers for hospice client assignments.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DETAILED DUTIES:

1. Demonstrates reliable performance with a caring attitude and loyalty to RHSHC policies and philosophy and RHSHC team members.
2. Has ability to function independently under the general guidance of the Howard County Community Hospice Interdisciplinary Group and the policies and procedures of RHSHC.
3. Participates in the scheduled Interdisciplinary Team Meetings.
4. Plans for or provides Massage therapy to the Hospice patients and their families.
5. Participates in the periodic updating and review of the plan of care for the patients being seen, as needed.
6. Contributes to the plan of care by documenting and timely submitting services provided.
7. Demonstrates familiarity by supporting and abiding by all organizational, departmental, and safety policies and procedures.
8. Maintains a positive attitude in promoting the RHSHC's and Hospice mission, philosophy, purpose and high standards of health care to our customers.
9. Maintains security, privacy and confidentiality of patient health information according to HIPAA guidelines and computer security guidelines.
10. Participates in the maintenance of a clean and safe environment for our customers.
11. Assumes related duties as necessary upon request.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Graduate of an accredited Massage Therapist program
2. Licensed as a Massage Therapist in the State of Iowa.
3. Maintains a current CPR certification.
4. Self-directed and able to work with minimal supervision.
5. Appearance and personality appropriate to deal with clients, visitors, and related services agency personnel.
6. Valid driver's license and proof of motor vehicle insurance.
