JOB DESCRIPTION:
Our NCWorks Case Manager supports jobs training, work experience and job placement for unemployed individuals in the local community. This staff member provides personalized career assistance to each program customer, analyzing their work background, skills and interests to customize a career plan.

The NCWorks Case Manager will be responsible for the following duties:

• Exploring potential training and education for the customer which will utilize the work history, interests and skills of each individual to help them further their career.
• Coordinating research and application for scholarships and purchase of materials/ registration.
• Providing job search support and employment counseling to support job placement and retention.
• Being a source of information about incentives and other resources which can benefit employers and customers in on-the-job training/ approved training programs.
• Referring the customer to other appropriate programs for assistance in a wide variety of areas if needed.

REQUIRES VALID NORTH CAROLINA DRIVERS LICENSE

EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree preferred, not required.

EXPERIENCE: Ideal candidate has several years of experience in career counseling or jobs placement. Strong knowledge of local social service providers required. Computer skills and written communication skills must be strong as this person will be maintaining databases of participant information/ case notes.
