Impact Automation is seeking an Electrical Designer with control systems design and panel layout experience in the equipment manufacturing market. You will work with the project team to provide your electrical design expertise for parcel conveyor systems for several large customers.

What you’ll be doing at Impact Automation

  • Designing and developing drawings for control panels and on machine wiring
  • Performing power engineering calculations
  • Designing to applicable standards and codes
  • Designing systems with PLCs, VFDs and HMIs
  • Developing electrical schematics
  • Evaluating, selecting, and specifying appropriate electrical equipment and components
  • Coordinating with clients, contractors, and other disciplines
  • Effectively building and maintaining relationships with clients, panel builders, and our team
  • Maintain a positive and professional work environment
Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications

  • Proficient in AutoCAD and MS Office
  • 2+ years of electrical design experience in the control systems environment

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
