Polygon Composites is looking for an Inside Sales Representative to support increasing sales and revenue for the company. This individual will communicate with customers, make outbound calls to potential customers, and follow up on leads. Understanding customers’ needs and identifying sales opportunities through active questioning and engagement is a key part of this role.

This individual will collaborate with key internal and external customers, supporting the organization in growing our customer base, with a heavy focus on engaging with new customers to expand our market share within the key industries where we have demonstrated success. The purpose of all initiatives is for the purpose of scaling the customer pipeline and evolving the business roadmap, ensuring our core audience and core values are consistently aligned.

We desire someone who is curious, loves driving results, and enjoys learning and sharing knowledge. This candidate will report to the Director of Sales.

Requirements:

Responsibilities:

· Generates revenue by soliciting and obtaining orders, understanding, and interpreting technical requirements, providing technical information, and developing accounts.

· Assesses competitors by analyzing and summarizing competitor information and trends and identifying sales opportunities.

· Develops sales opportunities by researching and identifying potential accounts, soliciting new accounts, building rapport, providing technical information and explanations, and preparing quotations.

· Closes new accounts by answering telephone and e -mail inquiries and verifying and entering information into CRM.

· Fills orders by transferring orders to fulfillment, communicating expected delivery date, and explaining stock-outs

· Maintains and improves quality results by following standards and recommending improved policies and procedures.

· Updates job knowledge by studying new product descriptions and participating in educational opportunities.

· Accomplishes department and organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests.

· Explores opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

· Support, as needed, trade shows and customer on-site visits. Travel 5-10%

Skills:

· Ability to build and maintain strong relationships

· Solid communication and interpersonal skills

· Strong organizational, prospecting and closing skills

· Proficiency in multiple software programs, including CRM (Salesforce) and ERP systems

· Work both independently and collaboratively to meet expectations

· Ability to perform under pressure and address conflict in a timely manner

· Proactive, ability to self-manage projects, high level of organization, ability to overcome obstacles

Required Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree, preferably in business or engineering

· 1-2 years' experience in sales preferred

· Proficient in Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
