Our Plant Manager is responsible for leading all activities of a high-performance manufacturing facility utilizing lean manufacturing principles and leadership to drive continuous and significant improvements in key operational metrics including safety, quality, delivery, and productivity.

**Salary range $110-120k plus bonus and benefits**

Responsibilities

  • Leading, coaching, and developing direct reports
  • Championing a safety-first culture
  • Financial responsibility for entire operation, including
    • Analyzing financial statements
    • Developing product cost on labor, material, and overhead by product model
    • Achieving EBITDA margins and dollars set forth in AOP
    • Staying within budgets, on labor, material, and overhead
    • Controlling overhead costs, including
      • Variable costs
      • Fixed costs
      • Material cost
      • Labor cost
      • Direct, indirect, general, and administrative personnel
  • Developing annual operating plans and other financial reports
  • Justifying performance variances and implementing formal corrective action plans
  • Tracking throughput for on time delivery and work to meet customer’s requirements
  • Interacting with corporate personnel, engineering, sales and customers
  • Assuring that plant is complying with corporate processes, disciplines, and methodologies
  • Championing a continuous improvement environment by conducting Kaizen and other lean events in conjunction with the Operational Excellence team
  • Improving productivity through reduced cycle time and other lean processes
  • Monitoring purchasing costs, on material, tools and supplies
  • Controlling, monitoring, and adjusting inventory levels and staffing as required to meet current market conditions and forecasted plans
  • Supporting sales department in meeting customer’s delivery requirements
  • Traveling to other Wastequip locations, including group headquarters, as required

Qualifications

  • Proven leadership in manufacturing operations management
  • 4 year college degree desired or a combination of equivalent experience and education
  • Knowledge of metal processing, Coil Leveling, shearing, punch press and Press breaks is preferred.
  • Knowledge of metal fabricating, mig welding and painting processes is preferred
  • Lean Six Sigma Certification is preferred
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Experience using ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics 365)
  • Strong leadership and coaching skills
  • Highly motivated and driven self–starter
