The specific salary offered to an applicant will be based on their individual qualifications, experiences, and an analysis of the current compensation paid in their geography and the market for similar roles at the time of hire. The Relationship Officer position is an integral component of the Area's sales strategy targeting existing clients and lower middle market prospects for deposit generation, business and consumer loans, cash management services, and international bank services. Together with the Area Manager and Senior Relationship Manager, the RO works in concert with them to achieve Deposit and Loan production goals and Branch profitability as set forth by the Bank.
* Assists the Area Manager in implementing the sales culture and functions as account manager for selected deposit relationships to ensure relationship profitability and customer service levels are maintained.
* Strives to achieve targeted goals for the retention of existing accounts and growth of deposit balances as established.
* Ensures resolution of customer inquiries, complaints, and issues.
* Assists Area Manager in providing proper training to non-officer staff so that a high level or morale is maintained, and a proactive sales process is implemented.
* Responsible for partial Area goals with respect to all facets of operation including deposits, fee income and loan goals.
* Performs other related duties/projects as assigned.
* Assigned annual sales goals in deposits and cross-selling bank services.
* Provide marketing and sales support to team.
* Attending and help coordinate networking events for the Area.
Education: College degree or equivalent experience.
Experience: Min 5 years of banking/lending experience.
Skills/ Qualifications: Ability to effectively interface with all levels of bank staff as well as a diverse base of customers. Ability to handle multi-tasks, plan and coordinate sales strategies towards accomplishment of bank goals. Must have experience using sales management software, PowerPoint, Excel and Word. Able to conduct marketing research on companies and prepare mail merges.
