Seeking a skilled Property Accountant to join a boutique real estate company in Apopka, FL.

This role will be 100% onsite in Apopka, FL!

Salary: $55-70k (based on level of experience/knowledge)

Direct Hire + Benefits

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and year-end financial statements/reporting packages
• Maintain Yardi for all updates to include rents, move-outs, CAM rates, new tenants, etc.
• Calculate, file and pay Sales Tax for all properties.
• Perform a wide variety of accounting analyses.
• Analyze various transactions and identify appropriate accounting treatment
• Prepare journal entries and maintain the general ledger
• Reconcile monthly bank statements to the general ledger
• Record and process accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Process cash receipts and assist with preparing bank deposits
• Prepare common area maintenance and real estate tax reconciliations
• Reconcile and allocate intercompany costs amongst different properties monthly
• Assist with preparation of annual operating budgets
• Maintains open communication with accounting team and property managers
• Has a “can do” productive self-motivated attitude, demonstrates initiative and suggests improved processes.
• Assist management with special projects and other tasks as assigned.

Attributes Required
• Excellent, computer, and communication skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Proficient in MS Office- Excel.
• Ability to effectively communicate with various departments to achieve project goals.
• Ability to solve problems and deal with a variety of options in varying situations.
• Requires analytical and quantitative skills.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills.
• Self-motivated, able to recognize and prioritize work to meet multiple deadlines on multiple tasks.

Experience
• Bachelor’s in Accounting (preferred)
• 2-5 years commercial real estate accounting experience (preferred)
• At least two years of general accounting experience.
• Experience with Yardi or other real estate accounting software is a plus.
