Laboratory Technician - Pediatrics

Job ID: 24-00917 Laboratory Technician Fairfax, VA MUST: 2+year of experience as a Labortory Technician Strong communication and interpersonal skills with ability to interact with staff and physicians Experience processing specimens Ability to handle laboratory testing Running and approving CBCs Experience processing, running and reporting CBC results. Specimen analysis of all Chemistry, Hematology and Immunology specimens QC Documentation Experience processing specimens Ability to update records with clear documentation Associates degree in medical technology or laboratory science DUTIES: Duties of the Medical Lab Tech include but are not limited to the following: Perform all laboratory functions laboratory testing Run and approve CBCs on a Sysmex XN-1000i or Sysmex XN-550 preferred Process, run and report CBC results. Process in-house and in-coming results for charting Perform specimen analysis of all Chemistry, Hematology and Immunology specimens Reviews, interprets laboratory tests for acceptability Reports clear, concise and legible results Maintains neat, clean and organized laboratory Maintain laboratory inventory and supplies *Quadrant, Inc. is an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer.
