Position Responsibilities

We are searching for a dynamic and eager IT Infrastructure Intern to join our team. In this role, you will collaborate with our IT Infrastructure team, contributing to the upkeep and support of our organization's IT infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include managing, maintaining, and supporting our network, servers, and IT systems.

• Primary Responsibilities:
• Support installing, configuring, and maintaining server infrastructure and other networking equipment.
• Contribute to the automation of workflows.
• Aid in managing our virtualization platform, involving creating and maintaining virtual machines, updating templates, and addressing remediation tasks
• Assist with Storage and File Server support, encompassing backups, restoration, cleanup efforts, and other specified tasks
• Collaborate on end-user support, addressing tickets from our ticketing system related to permissions, network connectivity, software installation, and hardware issues
• Contribute to the development and upkeep of IT documentation, including network diagrams, infrastructure documentation, and standard operating procedures
• Assist in upholding the security of our IT infrastructure by following best practices, maintaining system security controls, and participating in security audits
• Requirements:
• Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Proficient technical skills in networking, virtualization, cloud computing, and server administration
• Familiarity with scripting tools like PowerShell, AWS CLI, Python, etc
• Understanding network concepts, including DNS, DHCP, VPN, and WAF
• Familiarity with security standards and vulnerability management
• Knowledge of server operating systems, such as Windows Server and Linux
• Acquaintance with virtualization technologies, such as VMware, Hyper-V, or KVM
• Capability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to hardware, software, and networking
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment
• Proficiency in managing multiple tasks and projects concurrently
• Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes
