The role involves working with:
Python and AWS (Amazon Web Services) to develop tailored solutions for unique global collection problems. The candidate will be expected to work closely with the customer’s technical lead to architect, deploy, and maintain multiple capabilities used for various high-priority collection efforts. They will also coordinate with multiple entities to ensure that capabilities and deliverables meet defined requirements and tradecraft needs.
The candidate will be expected to create and maintain collection capabilities and deliverables within the customer’s AWS environment, validate collected data, maintain all source code in the customer’s GitHub repository, document all source code, and perform operations and maintenance on the collection capabilities and deliverables. The candidate must have demonstrated experience with Python, geo-spatial software and programming packages, creating and managing AWS resources, and using GitHub.
Optional desired skills and experience include:
Deploying AWS applications with AWS’s Cloud Development Kit (CDK), building and deploying containerized applications, working with and maintaining search engines such as ElasticSeach, Lucene, or AWS’s OpenSearch, creating, working with and maintaining SQL and NO-SQL databases, and experience with other non-AWS cloud services such as Google Cloud Platform and Microsoft Azure. The candidate may also have certifications such as AWS DevOps Engineer, Solutions Architect, or SysOps Administrator.
