Job Title: Part-Time Cook

Location: Terrace Grove Assisted Living, Logan, Utah

Position Overview: We are looking for a skilled Part-Time Cook to assist in the preparation and serving of meals for our residents for the morning shift. The ideal candidate will have experience in cooking for large groups, possess a strong understanding of food safety and sanitation guidelines, and demonstrate creativity and flexibility in menu planning.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook nutritious and delicious meals for residents according to prescribed recipes and portion sizes.
• Ensure that all meals are prepared in a timely manner and are served at the appropriate temperature.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area, including equipment, utensils, and work surfaces.
• Assist with inventory management, including ordering and stocking of food and kitchen supplies.
• Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines at all times to ensure the health and well-being of residents and staff.
• Provide excellent customer service to residents and respond to any feedback or requests in a professional and courteous manner.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Cook in a similar setting, preferably in an Assisted Living or healthcare environment.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
• Strong cooking skills and the ability to prepare a variety of dishes from scratch.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Current food handler's permit or willingness to obtain one.
• Compassionate and patient demeanor with a genuine desire to make a difference in the lives of our residents.
