Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

Job Summary:

Interim Health Care Northern VA is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team in Fairfax, Virginia. This is a part-time, hourly healthcare/medical position in the franchise industry. The CNA will work with our team to provide exceptional care to our clients while maintaining a healthy work-life balance. In this individual contributor role, the CNA will assist with the daily living activities of our clients, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being.

Compensation & Benefits:

This part-time position offers a competitive hourly rate of $20 per hour, paid biweekly. Responsibilities:

• Assist clients with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation
• Provide emotional support and companionship to clients
• Monitor and record clients’ vital signs and report any changes to the supervising nurse
• Assist with medication reminders and administration as directed by the supervising nurse
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients
• Communicate effectively with clients and their families to ensure their needs are being met
• Document all care provided accurately and in a timely manner
• Participate in ongoing training and development programs as required by Interim Health Care Northern VA
• Adhere to all policies and procedures and maintain confidentiality at all times

Requirements:

• Active and valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the state of Virginia
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a CNA
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
• Compassionate and empathetic attitude towards clients
• Flexible availability to accommodate client needs, including weekends and evenings
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening
