We are seeking a Maintenance/Service Technician I to join our team in providing exceptional service to our residents. As a Service Technician I, you will be responsible for helping the maintenance team ensure overall maintenance and repair of our apartment community.
Responsibilities
- Conducting business in compliance with company policies, Fair Housing, Fair Credit Reporting Act, and relevant laws.
- Inspecting vacated apartments and completing make-ready checklists.
- Notifying Service Supervisor and Community Manager of necessary repairs.
- Reporting supply needs to management.
- Restoring apartments to "market ready" status by:
- Checking and replacing lights.
- Making keys and changing locks.
- Repairing or replacing windows, screens, appliances, faucets, sinks, etc.
- Assisting with painting and minor repairs.
- Operating carpet cleaning equipment.
- Assisting with trash-out and maintaining grounds cleanliness.
- Delivering notices to apartments.
- Performing other assigned tasks.
- Adhering to preventative maintenance and safety protocols, including reporting unsafe conditions and using appropriate safety equipment.
- Predictable and regular attendance and ability to report to work on time are required.
- Must be able to physically complete assigned job duties and take direction.
- Must work well independently and also with a team.
