Qualifications and Requirements

You must believe more in what a person can do, than what they can't do.

Education and Experience

High School Diploma or GED

Must be 18 years of age.

Must successfully complete a pre-employment background check and any subsequent background check after employment.

As a Direct Support Professional, you wear a lot of hats. You are a chef, a finance manager, and a taxi driver... But more importantly you are a friend that never stops encouraging, a counselor on a hard day, and a coach who continually supports a client to get to the greatest goals of their life.

Job Summary

The role and responsibility of Direct Support Professional is to assist/support individuals with developmental disabilities in accordance to their Individual Support Plan. This includes helping with their daily living skills, activities, and goals so that they can become happy, independent, and productive individuals of the community.
