CDL A Local Intermodal Owner Operators in Baltimore, MD - Now Hiring

Gulf Winds is seeking Local Owner Operators for its new location in Baltimore, MD. One occasional overnight per week may be required for this position. Gulf Winds serves the container drayage, transloading, and domestic transportation industries and offers CDL-A owner operators consistently high volumes of work. Plus, you’ll stay close to your starting point, making your runs and home time dependable.

Compensation:

• Average Weekly Pay: $4,000 + 100% FSC
  • Fuel surcharge paid off gross (% of load)
• Bonuses:
  • Sign on: $2,000 (paid in 2 installments over the first 2 weeks of employment)
  • Referral: $1,000 paid weekly at $125
  • Clean roadside inspection & Safety bonuses
    • $50 for Clean Level 3, $75 for Clean Level 2, $100 for Clean Level 1, $200 for Clean Level 1 + a CVSA decal issued to the truck, $300 for a Clean Level 1 + a CVSA decal issued on BOTH the truck & the chassis, $50/each decal for an inspection that has a violation BUT a CVSA decal(s) issued
• Additional pay for Hazmat and overweight

Home Time, Route and Schedule

• Home daily
  • 1 overnight per week may be required on occasion
• Routes: 101-250 miles from Baltimore
  • Work out of Baltimore and Norfolk, VA ports
• Level of touch: 75% drop and pick/hook

Equipment Requirements

• Any year of truck as long as it passes inspection

Qualifications

• Must have a valid CDL A License
• Minimum 21 years of age
• Minimum 1-year verifiable tractor trailer driving experience in the last 10 years
• TWIC required
• No more than three (3) moving violations within the last thirty-six (36) months.
• No more than two (2) preventable accidents within the last twenty-four (24) months
• Must be able to pass a FMCSA pre-hire drug screen and have no prior FMCSA positive drug and/or alcohol testing or refusals within the last 10 years
• Must be able to pass a previous employer and criminal background check. No misdemeanor in the last five (5) years or felony convictions in the last seven (7) years
• Must live within 60 Miles of Baltimore, MD
