Salary:

To continue providing our customers with the Ultimate Customer Experience, Frontier Cooperative is seeking an Operations Associate for our Brainard, NE location.  This position is being offered as Full Time with Benefits.


Duties Include Maintenance & Housekeeping of grain & agronomy equipment, monitoring and ensuring high-quality grain condition in bins, loading/unloading of customer trucks and wagons with grain & agronomy products, operating company agricultural equipment as needed, delivering fertilizer and chemicals to applicators, customers, & other Frontier locations.  


Other duties include, but are not limited to, the following:  

  • Provide exceptional Customer Service to our Patrons, Customers, & Employees in a courteous & professional manner at all times. Ops Associates assist customers with purchasing bulk fertilizers, chemicals, & seed, as well as delivering grain commodities to the terminal. 
  • Control all load-out functions including blending & loading agronomy products & loading/unloading grain trucks & maintaining the quality of inventory & blended products.    
  • Perform warehouse & other agricultural-related duties such as operating tractors, machinery, forklifts, loaders, bobcats, etc.
  • Assist with routine building, grounds, vehicle, & equipment maintenance & repair; perform housekeeping inside and outside of all facilities, offices, mills, & elevators.
  • Maintain & promote a strong safety culture & follow all safety policies, procedures, complete training & follow regulations.
  • On occasion, Ops Associates may assist loading & unloading rail cars when needed.   


Minimum Qualifications include, but are not limited to: 

  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. on occasion; sit, stand, stoop, squat, crawl, walk, jog, run, climb tall ladders at various heights, stairs, and in & around bins, when needed.
  • Ability to operate heavy machinery to load & unload bulk fertilizer & grain products for suppliers & customers.  Ability to operate forklifts, loaders, conveyors, tractors, farming equipment & other machinery.  
  • Ability to work in & around grain, dust, & with Nebraska’s adverse weather conditions and temperatures.
  • Ability to work long hours to meet business demands during harvest.
  • Ops Associates must have the ability to read, write & speak the English language; maintain & promote a positive image of the coop; be dependable with the ability to adapt, take initiative, think & make decisions quickly, be helpful & customer-focused at all times.  
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen test
  • Farming, Grain-Handling, &/or Elevator experience is helpful, but not necessary. 
  • Ability & desire to obtain a Commercial Driver's License &/or Commercial Applicator's license is helpful, but not necessary.  Frontier offers extensive training for both licenses to our employees.
