Housekeeper

Summary Cleans Main House including all Guest Rooms, Administration Areas and Spa to include all other houses and areas on club property by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Sorts, counts, folds, marks, and carries linens.
  • Prepares suites/villas/rooms by cleaning rooms and closets, changing bed linens and making beds, dusting/polishing furniture, and vacuuming/mopping floors.
  • Replenishes guestroom amenities and bath supplies.
  • Cleans bathrooms by sanitizing all toilets, bathtubs and showers, glass doors, sinks and vanities, mirrors, floors and restocks supplies.
  • Removes all soiled linens from suites/villas including sheets, pillows, blankets and other related bedding, towels and garbage.
  • Performs periodical routine maintenance such as deep cleaning guestrooms during the summer, rotating mattresses as scheduled, etc.
  • Maintains stock levels and replenishes all cleaning chemicals and housekeeping supplies in the department’s supply closet.
  • Moves furniture, hangs drapes, and rolls carpets.
  • Cleans the main house, administration areas, guest rooms, spa, corridors, and stairways.
  • Polishes brass railings and furniture.
  • Vacuums carpets/rugs and sweeps, mops and waxes floors.
  • Cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies.
  • Dusts furniture.
  • Washes walls, ceiling, and woodwork.
  • Cleans windows, door panels, and window sills.
  • Empties wastebaskets and transports trash and waste to disposal area.
  • Adheres to all sanitation and safety protocols.

Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
