Position: Sanitation Manager

Location: Baltimore, MD

Type of Employment: Direct Hire

  • Salary Range: $58K
  • Citizenship: US Citizen or Green Card Holder
  • Hours: Night Shift -10:00pm-7:00am

Job Description:

The Sanitation Manager is responsible for management of sanitation operations and staff ensuring appropriate sanitation standards are met.

Responsibilities:

  • Manages all facility sanitation functions. Oversees daily workloads and works with supervisors to continuously improve employee productivity and efficiency.
  • Responsible for instruction/training of chemical use, safety procedures, and equipment use.
  • Trains, supervises, and motivates sanitation supervisors and employees.
  • Schedules and coordinates sanitation schedules with production supervisors.
  • Monitors pest control activity.
  • Reviews and develops sanitation plans, procedures, and training as necessary.
  • Responsible for documentation and follow-up of plant sanitation schedules.
  • Maintains cleaning schedules. Maintains supply usage and quantity logs.
  • Responsible for purchasing and maintaining all chemicals, sanitation supplies, and first aid supplies.

Qualifications & Preferred Skills:

  • Five or more years experience in sanitation management.
  • Prefer experience in a food processing environment, with dry sanitation.
  • Knowledge of sanitation chemicals required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • College completion or coursework preferred.
  • Pest control certification preferred.
