Job Title:                       Billing Clerk

Department:                Accounting

Reports To:                   Controller

FSLA Status:                  Non-Exempt

Schedule:                       Monday -Friday- 8:00 am- 5:00 Pm (Based on business levels some additional

                                         Hours, including weekends, may be required.)                    

SUMMARY

The Billing clerk processes vehicle deals, verifies cost.  

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Include the following: Other duties may be assigned.

  • Receive and process paperwork from the F & I department.
  • Prepare payoff checks for new vehicles and trade-ins when required
  • Post vehicle sales and purchases.
  • Input inventory control information.
  • Report new car sales to the manufacturer.
  • Prepare trade-in vehicle jackets.
  • Send out contracts to the bank.

 

  • Post vehicle sales into General ledger.
  • Balance CAVS for all departments.
  • Enter DRACS going in and out of inventory in accounting.
  • Cash warranties/SPP warranty.
  • Process paperwork for courtesy deliveries.
  • Coordinate and track incentives.
  • Report new Chevy sales to manufacturer.

 

  • Make sure inventory schedules are clean.
  • Post Infiniti and Mercedes Certified fees.
  • Post MPP CPO, Tire Assure, Club Plus, Zak statement.
  • Other duties as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and 2 years or more related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language skills:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as sales agreements, tax and title documents, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on one and small group situations to customers, employees and the general public.

Mathematical skills:

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, percentages. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.

Reasoning ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form. Ability to deal with problems involving concrete variables in standardized situations.
