Hotel Laundry Attendant

A Laundry Attendant is responsible for providing a constant supply of clean linens for the entire hotel and banquet facilities.

This position is Part-time. The shift is 8:00AM - 4:30PM weekdays and weekends. Must be able to work a minimum of 32 hours a week to include weekends.

Laundry Attendant Responsibilities:

• Sorting, washing, drying, pressing, and folding sheets, towels, tablecloths, and other textile items.
• Removing stains from items using the appropriate procedures.
• Tracking items
• Cleaning & maintaining laundry room area and equipment.
• Loading laundry into commercial washers
• Unloading laundry from commercial dryers
• Operate the presser (large commercial iron machine)
• Ability to lift heavy bags of laundry and remain active throughout a normal shift.
• Keeping an updated inventory of laundry detergents
• Tracking maintenance and repairs on laundering equipment by advising management of any problems.
• Ensuring that the facility always remains clean.

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Prior experience in a similar role is preferable.
• Familiarity with cleaning detergents and laundering equipment.
• Ability to stand for long periods.
• Capacity to lift to 25 pounds unaided.
• Requires reaching, lifting, stretching, bending, walking, pushing, pulling and standing for long periods.
• Basic arithmetic skills.
• Outstanding organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Personable disposition with a knack for customer service.
• Must have reliable transportation.
