Job Description
This is a full time position with 2nd shift hours. Weekend availability needed.

Essential Functions
- Demonstrate integrity, honesty, and knowledge that promote culture, values and mission statement of the Amway Grand Plaza. Maintains and models a calm demeanor during periods of high volume or unusual events; continues to keep the department operating to standard and sets a positive example for the team.
- Oversee the training programs for all staff.
- Assure the highest level of guest standards are met on a daily basis.
- Oversee professional correspondence to clients in multiple forms of communication.
- Assist other managers on the floor in a management capacity. Must demonstrate the ability to manage the restaurant on off days and cover for vacations as needed by the restaurant.
- Responsible for adherence to hotel service standards, control of labor expenses, effective inventory management of small wares, linens and furniture, effective scheduling and supervision of banquet staff and assuring guest satisfaction
- Participate in an “aggressive hospitality program,” greeting all guests with warmth and enthusiasm, and be attentive to their needs while they are with us.
- Learn and follow all hotel policies and procedures pertaining to your area of work. Follow established uniform standards and comply with all other company policies.
- Practice safety standards and reports all unsafe conditions.
- Provide fast and courteous service to our guests; to accomplish this, a well-organized work area must be maintained.
- Conduct yourself in a professional manner at all times as a goodwill ambassador of the AGPH to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Directly responsible for the adherence of grooming standards for FOH staff.
- Maintains high level of sanitation and cleanliness in service areas
- Must be visible in the public space during all meal periods to ensure guest needs are being met.
- Associate’s attitude, willingness to please guests, ability to get along with co-workers and supervisors.
- Ability to follow established guidelines, procedures and policies.
- Good record of attendance and punctuality at work.
- Monitoring the restaurant during daily operations.
- Provide floor coverage during open hours, including table touches and handling any guest concerns and or bringing concerns to management with urgency.
- Displays a sense of urgency and the ability to resolve guest concerns or department issues on their own.
- Proficient in both Opening and Closing paperwork.
- Communicates clearly, concisely and accurately in order to ensure effective department operations with Associate Staff and Management.
- Hold staff to set standards including running side work and closing side work.
- Submitting Daily Orders.
- Willingness to perform other duties as assigned.

The hotel functions 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. All employees, both management and hourly must realize this fact and be aware that at times it may be necessary to move an employee from their accustomed shift as business demands.
