Job Description
JCS is looking for an experienced IT Solutions Architect to support agile software development project(s) in support of a US government client’s mission critical systems. In this role the ideal candidate will provide guidance developing, analyzing, and managing architecture, evaluating technologies and solutions IAW the Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF) to meet functional and system requirements.

- Ability to manage a portfolio of agile software development projects.
- Must have a Top-Secret security clearance.
- A solid foundation in software development and architecture is essential, with strong experience in software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes, including Agile frameworks like Scrum, Kanban, or Lean.
- Candidates should have proficiency in programming languages, such as but not limited to Java, C#, Python, and/or JavaScript, as well as experience with relevant frameworks and technologies. Knowledge of cloud computing platforms, microservices architecture, event driven architectures, containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes), and DevSecOps and CI/CD pipelines is essential.
- A minimum of five (5) years of experience in software engineering related to front-end and back-end applications and/or data services to include:
- Experience in EA development, analysis, management, and/or documentation.
- Experience using the System Architect application.
- Experience developing, analyzing, and managing architecture, evaluating technologies and solutions to meet functional and system requirements.
- BS degree in Computer Science.
- Experience with DoDAF.
- Experience modernizing legacy systems and migration to DoD Cloud.
- Experience sustaining multiple applications utilizing traditional custom development, DevSecOps Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) Pipeline (Software Factory), and Low Code Application Platforms (LCAP)/ Software as a Service (SaaS). - Candidate should have experience leading and mentoring teams, providing technical guidance, and fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and innovation.
Desired Requirements:
- DoDAF certification, preferred.
- SAFe® Agilist certified, preferred.
- ITIL certified, preferred.
- Understanding of DevSecOps Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) Pipeline (Software Factory), and Low Code Application Platforms (LCAP)/ Software as a Service (SaaS) industry best practice and applicable software development tools.
