Dev Ops Engineer

Your Role 

As our DevOps Engineer, you will collaborate closely with our development and operations teams to ensure our web-based applications are deployed seamlessly and managed efficiently. You'll play a pivotal role in automating our deployment processes, ensuring systems are robust, and performance is optimized. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Design and manage CI/CD pipelines for containerized web applications using Docker and Kubernetes. 
• Collaborate with development teams to transition projects to the production environment, supporting them post-deployment. 
• Oversee and optimize application performance, availability, and scalability. 
• Implement and manage automation tools for efficient code deployment and management in both development and production environments. 
• Diagnose and resolve issues across platform and application domains. 
• Prioritize security using the best cloud security solutions available. 
• Stay informed on industry trends to continuously improve our practices. 

Qualifications 

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related field is required. 
• Demonstrable track record as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar software engineering role. 
• Proficient in using Gitlab for CI/CD pipeline creation, facilitating automated code deployment, and management processes. 
• Advanced proficiency in Docker and Kubernetes for container management and orchestration. 
• Deep understanding of various software development methodologies. 
• Experience supporting web-based applications with Nginx, Node.js, and PostgreSQL in development and production environments. 
• Solid understanding of database management and SQL proficiency. 
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 
• Highly effective in team collaboration, with a strong sense of partnership and teamwork.
