We are seeking a dynamic part-time HR project and admin associate to join our team and gain hands-on experience in various facets of human resources. The pay rate for this role is $31 an hour. This will be a part-time position, totaling 20-24 hours per week.

Role/Responsibilities

Admin and Project Coordination:

  • Support bi-weekly timecard processing and maintaining employee records.
  • Assist in new employee onboarding and offboarding processes, specifically ensuring paperwork Is completed and saved appropriately
  • Utilize project management tools to contribute to team initiatives such as annual enrollment, file audits, and documenting team processes
  • Track training completions and support staff communication
  • Create informative dashboards to visualize key HR metrics and trends.
  • Attend meetings as requested to support note-taking and scheduling

Recruitment:

  • Facilitate the recruitment process including job posting, candidate screening, and managing our applicant tracking system
  • Assist in drafting compelling messaging for job postings and updates to our website and social media platforms
  • Coordinate interview scheduling and ensure a seamless candidate experience

Internal Communications:

  • Support writing communications to be sent to staff, enhance internal communication efforts by updating our intranet and creating engaging staff spotlights, and support the coordination of monthly team huddles and quarterly town hall meetings
  • Contribute to our efforts in annual engagement and diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) benchmarking surveys and action plans

Qualifications & Competencies

  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to multitask effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Experience with HR Management Systems such as ADP is advantageous.
  • 1-2 years of related experience in an office environment; direct HR experience is a plus.
  • Bilingual proficiency is desirable

  • This job is located in the same facility where RMH-NY provides temporary accommodations to pediatric patients and their families while the patients are undergoing active medical treatment at area hospitals. For some RMH-NY guests, medical treatment may include radiation therapy. While radiation therapy is never administered at RMH-NY, there is the potential for some radioactive material to be present in guests who have undergone radiation therapy. Based on radiation measurements performed throughout RMH-NY, it is not expected that individuals working at RMH will receive radiation doses that would exceed the general public limit (100 millirem per year).
  • The noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud. Noise levels often increase with families and children who have temporary residence in the building as well as guests and musical performers for special events as well as mechanical equipment
  • Some weekends and evening hours may be necessary for this job
