Cemetery Operations Support Assistant

The main responsibility of this role is to provide administrative and operational support to ensure the smooth functioning of our cemetery operations. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.

Compensation: $18-$20 an hour

Job Type: Full-Time

Location: Fairfax Memorial Park 9900 Braddock Rd Fairfax, Virgina.

Job Duties:
- Assist in the coordination of daily cemetery operations, interment verification procedures as well as facilitating services.
- Support the team in managing cemetery arrangements and ensuring that all necessary arrangements are in place.
- Provide excellent customer service to families and visitors, addressing any inquiries or concerns in a compassionate and professional manner.
- Work with grounds team to Assist in maintaining cemetery grounds, ensuring that they are clean, presentable, and in compliance with all regulations.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as maintenance and groundskeeping, to ensure effective coordination of daily operations.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in an administrative or support role is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping.
- Proficient in using computer software and applications, including MS Office Suite.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact with a diverse range of individuals.
- Compassionate and empathetic approach when interacting with grieving families and visitors.
- Knowledge of cemetery operations and regulations is a plus.
