Coras Wellness and Behavioral Health—Medical Office Administrator

Coras was Founded in 2021, as a limited liability corporation as a subsidiary of Conexio Care, Inc., CORAS Wellness & Behavioral Health provides a wide array of substance abuse and behavioral health treatment services, including but not limited to, MAT Services, Outpatient Services, Residentials Services, Sober Living Services, Primary Care Services, and other wellness and behavioral health services. We currently have 16 facilities throughout the state of Delaware.

The Medical Office Administrator is responsible for communicating with clients and insurance companies, collect data from patients to assist in managing their accounts, and oversee the ordering of medical and office supplies. Medical office administrators also typically manage a staff, which includes hiring and coordinating payroll activities.

Responsibilities include the following:

  • Communicates with clients and insurance companies
  • Collecting data from patients to assist in managing their account and insure payment
  • Manage client appointment schedules
  • Maintain medical records including insurance forms in an organized and current state
  • Obtain and keep current insurance information at the point of service
  • Obtain as necessary and in a timely fashion all required prior authorizations from appropriate payers including authorizations for continued stays
  • Obtain insurance verification at the point of service
  • Insure accurate and timely entry of all required data for accurate payment processing
  • Act and intermediary between client and insurance
  • Encourages staff/clients while demonstrating self-initiative in problem solving.
  • Assist in the development of data collection and analysis of the quality improvement projects.
  • Maintains confidentiality, proper boundaries and an ethical relationship with clients and co-workers accordingly to Company’s policies and as their Delaware Professional Board regulations.
  • Ensure client’s file documentation and other reports are up to date.
  • Completes annual educational program as required.
  • Acts as liaison with outside agencies
  • Prepares and submits routine and special reports, inclusive of accurate data, payroll, etc., to supervisor via computer within specified time frames.

Required Education and Qualifications:

      • High School Diploma
      • At least one year’s experience working in health services
      • Experience with underserved populations preferred
      • Excellent communication skills and organizational skills
      • Excellent ability to work with clients with substance abuse, co-occurring and/or mental health disorders
      • Excellent writing skills and record keeping skills
      • Patient Advocacy Skills

Additional Qualifications:

  • Computer knowledge of MS Office, and other HR applications is a plus, not required.
  • Possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be proactive, organized, and possess great follow-up skills.
  • Must have the skill/ability to collaborate, partner with, and provide exceptional customer support to a variety of affiliate partners within the organization.
