Summary: The Service Support Clerk plays a crucial role in supporting the CMI’s service department. Their primary responsibilities include preparing quotations for external customers and internal customer work, organizing and preparing work orders for closure, and following up on parts inquiries for the service department.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assist in preparing quotations for external customers and internal customer work, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
  2. Assist in the organization of and preparation of work orders for closure.
  3. Collaborate with service technicians to ensure all necessary details are included when necessary.
  4. Support the follow-up on parts inquiries for the service department, liaising with external suppliers as well as CMI’s parts department to ensure timely delivery and fulfillment of orders.
  5. Maintain accurate records of quotations, work orders, and parts inquiries using dealership software systems.
  6. Provide administrative support to the service department as needed, including answering phones, responding to emails, and filing paperwork.
  7. Collaborate with other departments, such as sales, rentals, and parts, to ensure seamless coordination and communication.
  8. Assist in maintaining a clean and organized workspace within the service department.

 

Qualifications:

  1. High School Diploma or equivalent.
  2. Previous experience in a clerical or administrative role in a vehicle dealership business preferred.
  3. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  6. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks efficiently.
  7. Familiarity with construction equipment, industrial equipment and parts is a plus.

Physical Requirements: This role may involve occasional lifting of objects up to 25 pounds and standing or sitting for extended periods.

The Service Support Clerk plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the service department and contributing to overall customer satisfaction. They are valued members of the dealership team and are essential in supporting the service department's success.

Job Type: Full Time, Non-Exempt

Schedule:

  • 8-hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Occasional Saturday
