JOB DESCRIPTION
Compass Strategy Solutions (CSS) is seeking to recruit a Senior Business Development Manager professional to join our growing team.

This position has direct responsibility for maintaining a healthy business pipeline through researching, targeting, identifying, and tracking viable business opportunities throughout their lifecycle.

This position provides capture management support for identified opportunities, cultivates teaming relationships, and leads proposal and pricing activities.

This position leads our Strategic Business Development planning and is the point-person in driving business growth for the company.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • 5 years of experience as a capture manager/proposal writer-manger and pricing and/or proposal manager for federal RFPs, GSA MAS and OASIS proposals.
  • Willingness and ability to work the whole lifecycle of the business pursuit process, from identifying an opportunity to creating a capture strategy, teaming, developing a winning proposal, and submission. 
  • Documented and verifiable portfolio of successes in previous engagements with companies with similar client base and business portfolio.
  • Successful track record in strategic account identification and management, business development, and capture management focused on a wide range of solutions and services.
  • Leadership skills and business acumen to help us continue to strengthen CSS’ success in the federal market.
  • Preparing, presenting, and executing new business and account growth plans.
  • Leading and participating in account management activities associated with identification, qualification, capture and bid activities, transitioning awards to operations.
  • Conducting analysis of market opportunities and performing a gap analysis between customer needs and current offerings to identify potential future capabilities.
  • Ability to envision the interfaces, interdependencies, and activities between multiple programs and captures at a line of business and/or capability portfolio level.
  • Understanding of winning pricing trends and ability to assist in the preparation of cost proposals.
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills.
