Salary:
Frontier Cooperative is seeking an Operations Associate to assist in our operations department. This position is being offered as full time with benefits.
Operations Associates are responsible for a variety of different duties that include, but are not limited to, the following:
Core Responsibilities:

Therefore, all employees must maintain & promote a strong safety culture & follow all safety policies, procedures, & regulations.
- Provides exceptional customer service to our patrons, customers, & employees in a courteous & professional manner. Operations Associates assist customers with purchasing bulk fertilizers, chemicals, & seed, as well as deliver grain commodities to the terminal.
- It is also every employee’s responsibility to identify & communicate workplace hazards & correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions. Employees must also complete all safety training, complete necessary reports & required record keeping, as needed.
Day to day tasks include:
- Blend and load Agronomy products; load & unload grain trucks.
- Monitors and keeps supervisor informed of inventory levels & maintains high quality grain in bins.
- Deliver products such as fertilizer, chemical, seed, or other to customer site & other locations.
- Verify that company vehicles, equipment & machinery are in good working order prior to use.
- Perform warehouse & other agricultural related duties such as operating tractors, machinery, forklifts, loaders, bobcats, etc.
- Assist with routine maintenance of the building, grounds, vehicle, & equipment including completing necessary documentation.
- Assist with scale operations
- Perform housekeeping inside and outside of all facilities, offices, mills, & elevators.
- On occasion, Operations Associates may assist loading & unloading rail cars when needed.
Skills needed to be successful include, but are not limited to, the following:
- The ability to think clearly, take initiative, & problem-solve
- This position requires you to occasionally lift 50 to 100 pounds.
- Must possess the ability to climb ladders, stairs and bins when needed.
- Must possess the ability to operate loaders, conveyors, tractors, farming equipment & other machinery.
- Physically, you must be able to climb in and out of a truck, climb ladders, bins/elevators, and open/close trailer hoppers.
- Must possess the ability to work in & around grain, dust, & with Nebraska’s everchanging adverse weather conditions and temperatures
- Should possess the ability & desire to obtain a Commercial Driver's License. Frontier Cooperative will provide training & testing for the right applicant.
- Ability to work long hours to meet business demands during harvest.
- Must possess the ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen test
- Farming, grain-handling, &/or elevator experience is helpful, but not necessary.
