Job Description

As a Residential New Construction Starts Coordinator, you will be responsible for overseeing the coordination and execution of new residential construction projects from start to finish. You will work closely with architects, designers, contractors, and clients to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate should have experience in AutoCAD and estimating, strong project management skills, and a deep understanding of the residential construction process.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with architects and designers to review and understand project plans and specifications.
  • Coordinate and track the execution of residential new construction projects from the start to completion.
  • Create and maintain project schedules, ensuring that milestones and deadlines are met.
  • Assist in the preparation of detailed project estimates, including labor, materials, and equipment costs.
  • Utilize AutoCAD and other software tools to create and modify construction drawings and plans.
  • Review construction drawings and plans for accuracy, compliance, and feasibility.
  • Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and suppliers to ensure timely availability of materials and resources.
  • Monitor and inspect construction sites at key stages to ensure quality and progress of work.
  • Identify and address any issues or deviations from plans, working with relevant parties to find effective solutions.
  • Communicate regularly with clients, architects, and contractors to provide project updates and address any concerns or changes.
  • Prepare and submit necessary documentation for permits and regulatory compliance.
  • Conduct regular meetings with project teams to review progress, resolve issues, and plan for upcoming activities.
  • Assist in the management of project budgets, maintaining cost control and tracking expenses.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and new construction technologies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in residential construction coordination, estimating, and AutoCAD.
  • Strong knowledge of residential construction processes, codes, and regulations.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant design and drafting software.
  • Excellent estimating skills, with the ability to prepare accurate project cost estimates.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain high-quality standards.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with multiple stakeholders.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements and deadlines.
