Job Description

The Park Services Supervisor position supervising the staff responsible for maintaining the grounds and facilities maintenance, landscaping, slides and attractions, and water quality.

PRIMARY DUTIES:

  • Assist with the completing daily pre-opening safety inspections of slides and attractions and authorizing the attraction(s) to be opened to the public upon passing inspection.
  • Maintain park landscaping and irrigation.
  • Making general repairs throughout the park as needed.
  • Respond to attraction shutdowns during park operation and safely returning the attraction to operation in an effort to minimize downtime.
  • Monitor water filtration systems and chemical levels.
  • Take hourly water samples and test for chemical levels. Accurately complete required documentation of hourly test results.
  • Manage staff relations including scheduling, attendance and performance monitoring, time of requests, etc.
  • Assigns various duties to maintenance staff and manages workload accordingly to meet budgetary guidelines and time constraints.

SECONDARY DUTIES:

  • Assist with setting up and break down for special events.
  • Initiate and develop on special projects as directed by management.
  • Monitor equipment and supplies inventory and facilitate placing orders for equipment as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Must have basic knowledge of mechanical systems such as: pumps, pool filtration, motors, irrigation networks, etc.
  • Must have basic knowledge of proper usage of tools and equipment
  • Able to work in all weather conditions including frequent exposure to extreme heat and sunlight
  • Proficient in the English language
  • Able to work with a diversified work force.
  • Able to lift or move up to 75 pounds
  • Able to spend long periods of time standing or moving
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Must be able to work early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays to meet the business needs.
