Job Description

Position Title: Marketing Production Assistant

Reports To: Marketing Production Supervisor > Marketing Manager

Supervises: N/A

Summary of Position:

Under the direction of the Production Supervisor, the Production Assistant will assist the marketing department with the completion of jobs and projects in the department. Production requirements will be accomplished by scheduling and expediting jobs, meeting deadlines and moving approved projects to traffic. The Production Assistant will also produce projects while monitoring production levels. Additional responsibilities include creating and follow-thru of purchase and receiving orders (from inception to completion) for marketing department.

Responsible for maintaining monthly spreadsheet of all project requests and purchase orders, through receipt of the invoice to completion of project. Production Assistant will help with any special events, promotions, or concerts as needed.

Distribution of communications pieces from marketing department (posters, duratrans, mailers, newsletters, etc.) is an additional essential duty. Including accuracy and timeliness of promotional material distributed and posted at properties. Other special projects and duties that are assigned as needed for the business.

  1. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following and are subject to change at management’s discretion:
  • Maintains the work flow of creation and completion of all materials, publications and production pieces of the creative team.
  • Assures that work produced conforms to the established standards as outlined in the Inn of the Mountain Gods Branding Standards Manual.
  • Works closely with Production Supervisor to assure consistency, quality and timeliness among all produced Including accuracy and timeliness of all material posted at properties.
  • Responsible for maintaining calendar of events and inventory of Ordering of supplies and materials for the marketing department.
  • Completes production by working closely with Production Supervisor and Marketing Manager on scheduling and project completion; monitoring progress; revising schedules; reporting results of the work produced weekly and monthly.
  • Distributes marketing materials to all Tribal businesses to ensure information is
  • Operates and ensures operation of equipment by maintaining inventory controls, and scheduling maintenance and repairs.
  • Meets production budget standards by controlling and minimizing
  • Adheres to all regulatory, departmental and casino policies and procedures, and to the casino Internal Control Structure.
  • Reports illegal or suspicious activity to Security, Gaming and the appropriate levels of Management.

3. Education and/or Experience Requirement

To perform this job successfully, and individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Must have basic knowledge of Macintosh and PC computers and popular graphics industry software including but not limited to Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, the Microsoft Office Suite and similar programs. Must be able to maximize input and output devices such as printers, digital signage, and other peripherals and send/receive materials via the internet.

Must have excellent project management and communication skills. Ability to work in a fast- paced, deadline driven environment.

  • High school diploma or GED Minimum of one year experience in Casino Marketing, Gaming, or Casino Services experience preferable.
  • Preferably fluent in both Spanish and English
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a gaming license
  • Mescalero Apache Tribal preference
  • Bicultural experience preferred
  • Must be highly proficient in all Microsoft Office programs, Excel, Photoshop, property telephone systems, Basic Knowledge in Ticketmaster and Oasis is Preferred.
  • Must have or be able to obtain a NM Drivers
