Shift - Monday to Friday - 7 AM to 3:30 PM, OT as needed

What this job involves - The Building Maintenance Technician will provide mechanical and electrical support for the assigned buildings including perform a variety of maintenance tasks requiring knowledge of plumbing, pipefitting, basic carpentry, electrical work , painting and other skilled trades.

What is your day to day?

  • Maintains building architectural component: roof repairs, ceiling tiles, floor tiles/base cove, door hardware’s etc.
  • Use of CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) for work order initiation and completion, including generating work order reports
  • Perform a variety of preventative and corrective maintenance on pumps, motors, hydraulic systems related to facility equipment
  • Maintain and repair plumbing components including toilets, urinals, lavatories, flush valves, water fountains, sinks, drains, water heaters, piping, and sump pumps
  • Assist in maintaining lighting system bulbs and ballasts
  • Operates a variety of hand and power tools, equipment, and machinery in the maintenance, repair, and fabrication of parts, machines and equipment
  • Assist with plant inspections related to facilities for mechanical and equipment problems, review, examine site, and determines appropriate action
  • Completes special tasks if needed that include but not limited to patch & painting, locksmith work, office furniture repair and general maintenance as assigned
  • Other assigned tasks as may be typically expected of the Maintenance Mechanic role
  • Accurately completes work orders and paperwork regarding daily maintenance and repair duties
  • Works day shift; including possible weekend work
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment
  • Respond effectively to all emergencies
  • Provide all other building maintenance repair and restorative procedures as directed
  • Any and all other duties and tasks as assigned

Desired experience and technical skills -

Required

  • Skills in electrical, mechanical and construction aptitude a must
  • Specific technical skills in hanging wall coverings, hanging and finishing drywall and plaster and painting
  • 1+ year(s) of applicable working experience in general building repair and maintenance in a commercial or industrial environment
  • Proficient in computer skills is required (MS Office, Google docs, CMMS, etc.)
  • Candidate must possess and maintain a valid state driver’s license
  • Comply with safety and operational guidelines, policies, and procedures
  • A team-first mentality and eagerness to set & meet aggressive goals

Preferred

  • Experience working in a Pharmaceutical or Life Sciences environment is desirable
  • Must have excellent communication skills in English, both oral and written
  • Knowledge of NFPA Standards and Local/State Codes is desirable.

Work Environment

  • Must have ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs., use ladders up to 28ft, possess mechanical and electrical aptitude
  • May be require to work overtime to meet deadlines
  • May need to work some weekends, evenings, or shutdown to support business needs

Estimated compensation for this position is:

52,000.00 – 53,000.00 USD per year

The pay range listed is a total compensation range including bonus, if applicable. The provided range is an estimate and not guaranteed. An employment offer is based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, internal equity and alignment with market data.
