Job DescriptionCompany Description
Work with patients who are in critical condition, requiring 24/7 care. Primarily responsible for applying their nursing specialties to maintain a patient’s health and life. Common responsibilities include head-to-toe assessments, wound care, and medication administration.
- Licensure: SC Nursing License, or Compact
- Certification: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS - ACLS NIHSS after hire
- Experience: New grads accepted. Education: Graduate of Nursing Program (ADN, BSN, or MSN)
- Number of Beds:20 beds ICU; 10 beds in CICU
- Patient Population:Medical ICU patients (Neuro, Neurosurgery, Stroke/tPA, Respiratory, Renal, Non-Surgical Cardiac, Trauma)
- Common Diagnoses: DKA, Respiratory Distress, Stroke, Renal Failure, Pneumonia/COPD
- Nurse to Patient Ratio:1:2 – 1:3 based on acuity
- Average # of admits per day: 3-4 per day
License/Certification:
- ACLS Certification (Required)
- BLS Certification (Required)
