Entry Level Staff Accountant

The expanding accounting department at Robert Half has an excellent opportunity for an entry-level Accountant. In this role, you will be responsible for data entry, financial statement review, and Excel spreadsheet creation and manipulation. You will report to the Accounting Manager and be part of a dynamic team with an opportunity for career growth. Key responsibilities

- Ensuring that accounts contained in the general ledger are correct

- Performing other related duties and participating in special projects as assigned

- Assisting with audit fieldwork for both operational and financial audit

- Researching and rectifying account discrepancies

- Data entry

- Helping with full cycle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes

- Put together monthly journal entries- 1 year of accounting experience

- Strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing

- Solid understanding of Sage Software

- University Degree experience

- GAAP Accounting experience

- Expertise in Microsoft Excel

- An AA or BS/BA Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business suggested

- Eagerness to work independently as well as part of a team with flexibility and willingness to learn and take initiative on variety of tasks and projects

- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (PivotTables, vlookups) is preferred

- Be detailed, flexible, and organized

- Outstanding data entry skills
