Emblem is a commercial furniture design and manufacturing company with a focus on unique custom upholstered furniture. We are seeking a skilled woodworker with experience in custom furniture.
Job Description:
- Build custom wood furniture, from start to finish, based on detailed drawings
- Measure, cut, and shape wood pieces according to specifications
- Assemble wood components using hand tools and power tools
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure project completion is done on time
- Read and interpret detailed shop drawings
- Thoroughly read through orders and analyze what tools/hardware will be needed to complete the job
- Use problem-solving skills to troubleshoot issues during woodworking projects
- Contribute to shaping the growth of our woodworking shop, establishing best practices for safety, efficiency, and fostering a positive work environment
- Continuously identify areas for improvement in workflow and efficiency
Job Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in commercial woodworking environment, specializing in custom furniture or related fields.
- Must be bi-lingual (Spanish & some English)
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Must be able to meet other physical demands such as bending, lifting, and twisting
- Highly skilled at operating table saws, chop saw, planers, routers, power tools, hand tools, etc.
- Become a positive, supportive member of our team by encouraging others and taking direction well
- Commitment to upholding safety standards in the workshop
Start date: Immediate
Schedule: 8 hour shift with 30 minute lunch, Production team works 6am-2:30pm Monday-Friday
Status: Full-time, non-exempt (40 hours per week)
Benefits: Paid national holidays plus 1 week paid vacation, 1 week sick leave, 401(k) available
Note: Other benefits evolving as team grows over the next 12 months.
Ability to commute/relocate: Must be able to work from our factory in Chino, CA 91710

Requisitos de trabajo:
- Mínimo de 2 años de experiencia práctica en carpintería comercial, especializándose en muebles personalizados o campos relacionados
- Se requiere hablar español (preferible algo de inglés, pero no es necesario)
- Capacidad para levantar 50
- Otras demandas físicas como doblarse, levantar objetos y girar
- Altamente capacitado para operar table saws, chop saw, planers, routers, power tools, hand tools, etc.
- Hacer un miembro positivo, dar apoyo a los demás, y tomar bien las instrucciones.
- Compromiso de mantener los estándares de seguridad en el taller.

Horario: El equipo de producción trabaja de 6:00am a 2:30pm de Lunes a Viernes. Tiempo completo de 40 horas por semana
