```Job Summary``` We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our team. As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a crucial role in providing quality oral healthcare to our patients. Your primary responsibility will be to perform dental cleanings, provide oral hygiene instructions, and assist the dentist during procedures. `

``Responsibilities``` - Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling, root planing, and polishing - Take and develop dental x-rays - Assess patients' oral health and provide appropriate treatment recommendations - Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide as needed - Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care - Assist the dentist during procedures by handing instruments, maintaining a clear field of vision, and providing suction - Maintain accurate patient records and update medical documentation as necessary - Follow strict infection control protocols and adhere to HIPAA regulations - Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in dental technology and techniques

```Qualifications``` - Valid Dental Hygiene license in the state of Iowa - Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program - Proficiency in medical terminology related to dentistry - Experience working with pediatric patients is preferred - Knowledge of dental assisting procedures and techniques - Familiarity with medical coding for dental procedures - Strong understanding of human anatomy and oral structures - Ability to operate dental imaging equipment effectively - Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and commitment to patient privacy - Skilled in aseptic technique and infection control protocols
