Job Summary:

The VP, RevOps will oversee Avenu’s branding, marketing, GTM, digital sales and SDR efforts to drive pipeline and revenue conversion while building industry awareness. Key responsibilities would include creating an overall marketing and growth strategy, producing a marketing plan with associated methods and timelines, internal communications, approving campaigns, developing collateral and enabling the required technology and processes that support go to market strategy while measuring the return on investment for expenditures.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Measure all sales KPIs to ensure we are moving in the right direction to achieve our targets, optimizing our spend and dramatically growing the quantity and quality of leads.
  • Oversee the development of the Avenu website, providing compelling marketing content and resources to convey the value of our solution to our key buyer personas.
  • Own and manage the sales enablement process, providing tools and materials to our sales team which accelerate opportunities, improves win rates, and increases deal size.
  • Collaborate with Sales Account Executives, Client Success Managers, business development, Business Unit leaders, delivery, and other teams to uncover insights to develop and implement marketing and branding strategies for new and existing offerings, internally and externally.
  • Identify short-term and long-term scheduling, budget, and resource needs, including the development and management of an annual marketing budget, expenditures, return on investment, and other financial considerations.
  • Understand industry standard key marketing performance metrics and tracking tools to provide market research, forecasts, competitive analyses, campaign results, and trends in order to translate results into actionable insights.
  • Lead the development of our sales and marketing strategy and associated plans working closely with business development, delivery, senior leadership, other internal teams, and partners, to create an effective and efficient marketing strategy focused on growing audiences for our services.
  • Spearhead the strategic and tactical execution of campaigns, including go to market, branding, collateral development, tracking, results reporting, analysis, and recommendations.
  • Manage development, and implementation of strategy in collaboration with the Senior Leadership Team and plan, product concepts, and promotional programs to drive interest and sales.
  • Participate in regular meetings to review pipeline, resolve challenges, and present possible solutions, and provide ongoing training to ensure team consensus on marketing needs and go to market strategy.
  • Attend and/or participate at conventions, conferences, and trade shows, preparing. engaging displays and collateral as needed, and providing post-event reports and analysis.
  • Lead and direct an internal marketing, proposal, SDR and Deal Support teams as well as external vendors or consultants as required to achieve Avenu’s goals and objectives.

Education and Experience:

  • 6-10 years’ experience in B2B marketing (marketing financial products / solutions to local US governments a big plus)
  • Experience, desire and ability to work in a hands-on, fast-paced, high-growth company
  • Experience managing a P&L budget
  • Experience managing digital demand generation and content marketing strategies
  • Bachelor’s degree or concentration in Marketing/Business desired, Master’s degree a plus

Experience with SalesForce.com highly desired

Work Environment:

  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate as the employee works in an office setting, at an individual work station, using telephone and computer

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position for most of the day
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a printer/copy machine
  • This position needs to occasionally move about inside the office
  • The person in this position frequently communicates via telephone
