Established in 2023, New Carrot Company, operating under the name Bolthouse Fresh Foods, is headquartered in the California Central Valley community of Bakersfield. Specializing in carrot production, the company caters to both retail and food service operations and is renowned for its Bolthouse Farms brand, widely distributed in major retailers across the United States and Canada.

WHAT YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR IN THIS ROLE

This position will be responsible for all aspects of electrical work throughout the different facilitates and guide the Electricians in their responsibilities or in their duties as needed. Must respond to radio calls in a quick and professional manner. Able to prioritize the production needs or request that come into the department and be able to assign them as needed. Finished product must be done in the best craftsmanship possible, always using proper techniques and safety guidelines, and instructions. Must be available to answer questions at any given time and address issues that arise.


  • Guide and develop electricians in their knowledge of the field
  • Monitor electricians as they perform tasks assigned to them
  • Act as supervisor when in charge of the shift
  • Should always be alert of the problems and recommend the best solutions possible
  • Testing and troubleshooting electrical systems to identify faulty components
  • Repairs and replaces electrical components in a rapid, safe, and effective manner
  • Identifies problems and isolates faulty components with rapid understanding of the distribution of Inputs and Outputs as well as the location of field devices driven by such.
  • Performs all repairs to prevent future problems as well as to obtain best outcome possible
  • All the repairs must be performed to prevent future problems as well as to obtain optimal performance
  • Repairs on faulty lighting and wiring as needed
  • Pulls wire
  • Bends conduit
  • Should be able to complete pass downs and continue them to the next shift as needed
  • Responsible to follow maintenance schedules during operation and non-operation hours
  • Responsible to report hazardous situations immediately and possibly correct them immediately
  • If the situation calls for live voltage work, should always work with a partner and wear appropriate PPE
  • Responsible for following safety procedures and policies through facility
  • Keep track of the hours worked during the journey to prevent lunch penalties
  • Must be willing to learn about projects so his/her knowledge can be applied in the future
  • Perform Other duties as needed

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Able to identify hazardous situations
  • Must be familiar with the facilities and the procedure required to bring production back online
  • Must be able to read, create, and follow schematic diagrams, as well understanding the variety of electrical systems
  • Great verbal and written communication skills

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Seven years, minimum, of experience in Industrial Electricity
  • Poses and show leadership skills
  • Responsible for the understanding of any drawings and schematics, as well as the application of such.
  • Must cooperate with our company’s safety director to correct problems and prevent them for the near future.
  • Must always be aware of the latest changes on the laws and regulations involving the NEC, OSHA, NFPA
  • Must respond promptly and in the most helpful manner
  • Must be active and productive, attention to detail

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Eight to ten years’ experience in a related field
  • Bachelor’s Degree and/or vocational training in electrical field
  • One year in a lead position in a related field

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged periods of time
  • Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs.
  • Must be willing to conduct work in a variety of different positions
