As the Government IT/Telecom Business Development Lead at AOC Connect, you will be a key player in driving our growth by identifying and securing business opportunities within the government sector by providing:

  • Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market analysis to identify government IT/Telecom trends, opportunities, and emerging needs.
  • Relationship Building: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with government agencies, key stakeholders, and industry partners to position AOC Connect as a trusted technology solutions provider.
  • Opportunity Identification: Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the government sector, aligning with organizational capabilities and growth objectives.
  • Proposal Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop compelling proposals that address client needs, comply with regulations, and position AOC Connect as the preferred vendor.
  • Client Engagement: Engage with government clients to understand their challenges, requirements, and strategic priorities, building strong rapport and trust.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic business development plans that align with organizational goals and contribute to revenue growth.
  • Competitive Intelligence: Stay informed about competitors and market trends, providing insights to inform business development strategies.
  • Contract Negotiation: Lead contract negotiation efforts, ensuring favorable terms and conditions for AOC Connect.
  • Performance Metrics: Establish and track key performance metrics to measure the success and effectiveness of business development initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field. MBA is a plus.
  • 5+ years of proven experience in government IT/Telecom business development.
  • In-depth knowledge of government procurement processes, regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Strong network and relationships within the government sector.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective client engagement and relationship building.
  • Strategic thinking, analytical mindset, and ability to develop and execute business development plans.
  • Experience in leading and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with IT and telecom technologies and services.
