Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in child and family services field preferred. High School or GED and two years of experience in child and family services field required. Valid driver’s license and meet agency underwriting standards.

As an Adoption Accelerator, you will promote the well-being of children, support Case Management teams in removing barriers to permanency for children in the foster care system who are legally free for adoption.

  • Provides support to Case Management teams in finding adoptive families for children in the foster care system who are legally free for adoption, including researching and recommending possible relative options.
  • Initiates, gathers, and assists with the completion of documents necessary to conduct adoption home studies.
  • Provides support to Case Management teams in accomplishing tasks to achieve the finalization of an adoption.
  • Acts as a liaison between the Department for Children and Families (DCF), Reintegration and Adoption Case Managers to achieve timely adoption for children in the custody of the State of Kansas who are in need of permanent adoptive homes.
  • Identifies, tracks and monitors children and youth with a goal of adoption who are experiencing barriers to permanency.
