Medical Secretary

TEKsystems in partnership with leading healthcare client in search of a Medical Secretary!

Job Description:

• They see 50-60 patients per day
• Will be utilizing EPIC software to schedule patients
• Answer phones
• Will be getting pre-authorizations for insurance for patients before them come in for surgeries, appointments, check ups
• Will be calling Dr offices/hospitals for pre-op results
• Will be verifying insurance on a daily basis
• Must be very knowledgeable in insurance companies and the process
• Will be calling drs. clinics to get customer scans
• medical records

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Must have at least 1+ years working in Med Sec/Front Desk/Scheduling role within hospital OR High Volume medical clinic
• IDEAL to have used EPIC before
• Must have a High School Diploma
• Must be comfortable working with difficult patients coming in the door
• Must have EXCELLENT customer service skills
