Position Responsibilities: Performs programmatic and financial compliance monitoring for assigned contracts to ensure the organization complies with the industry's laws and regulations. The analyst will review the contract, applicable federal, state, and local rules and regulations, and execute the overall compliance review process, such as planning, risk assessment, fieldwork, monitoring results, reporting, and review documentation for corrective actions the sub-recipient / grantee receives. Examines programmatic and financial records to ensure proper recording of transactions and compliance with applicable laws, agreements, and policies. Evaluate the financial capabilities and internal controls of sub-recipients to determine compliance. Assist the Lead Compliance Analyst and Compliance Supervisor with any monitoring procedures or issues that may arise with sub-recipients and contractors. Be willing to travel for assigned contracts that must be performed onsite. Examine compliance practices and policies within the sub-recipients / grantees' organizations, identify areas where they are out of compliance, and offer recommendations for how to make necessary modifications. This will require regular review and research into governing authorities' current rules and regulations. Conduct sub-recipient risk assessments and interpreted financial audits to evaluate and determine the necessary monitoring process steps to ensure compliance. Complete applicable workpapers and prepare monitoring reports based on the final determination of the review results for the Manager's approval. Review grant agreements and modifications to such agreements to ensure adherence to grantor regulations, programmatic compliance, and financial data are represented in such agreements. Confers with the Lead and Senior Compliance Analyst about any compliance review issues requiring the next steps. Other duties as assigned Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field At least 2-3 years of auditing experience, preferably with federal or state government grant programs Knowledge of 2 CFR Part 200 Uniform Guidance and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) Knowledge of federal laws, regulations, policies, procedures, and methods governing the evaluation of federal or state grants Knowledge of essential business and corporate structures, budgets, and financial schedules Proficiency with MS Office - Word, Excel, Outlook Ability and willingness to travel domestically EOE #J-18808-Ljbffr
