Mechanic

This is a full-time on-site role as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic located in Scottsbluff, NE. The Heavy Equipment Mechanic will be responsible for performing diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on heavy equipment such as paving machines, concrete mixing plants, material transfer machines, aggregate processing equipment, excavators, front end loaders and skid loaders.  The Heavy Equipment Mechanic will also maintain accurate records of work performed and ensure that all equipment is maintained in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manner.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in repairing and maintaining heavy equipment

• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams

• Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot issues with heavy equipment and develop appropriate solutions

• Knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems as they relate to heavy equipment

• Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team

• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record

• High school diploma or GED equivalent

• Experience with Concrete Mixing Plants and Asphalt Paving Machines is required

• Must be able to fabricate on job sites and be able to make attachments and accessories for equipment.
