CNC MAZAK SET-UP PROGRAMMER

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
We are looking for an individual to work as a CNC machine programmer. Programming, maintaining, and repairing Mazak CNC machines using G-code and conversational programs would be required. Also required to organize and order/reorder tooling and taps for the machines. Keep track of the tooling, including storage and inventories, and call on vendors when needed.
Set up and operate CNC machines to perform precision machining operations
Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications to determine machining requirements
Select and install appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and machine accessories
Monitor machine operations and adjust as necessary to ensure the quality and accuracy of finished products
Troubleshoot and resolve issues that may arise during the machining process
Proficiency in operating CNC machines and related equipment
Strong knowledge of programming languages used in CNC machining
Solid understanding of basic math concepts for measurements and calculations
Familiarity with tooling selection and maintenance procedures

Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Continuous improvements, including machine feeds and speeds, efficiency, and minimizing scrap.
Work with other CNC operators to better their understanding and develop a strong department, running lean and efficiently.
Track and order tooling for the shop, including CNC inserts, taps, and materials needed for the tool room and shop.
I will spend time on the phone, calling vendors, and researching where tooling and other materials may be available.
Help as needed with the Safety program in the plant.
Strong analytical, mathematical, and reasoning abilities
experience in CNC programming
Strong computer skills, including Excel and similar programs
Communication skills, written and verbal
Must be adaptable to change
Working Conditions.
The environment is consistent with a manufacturing plant with exposure to machines, moving parts, and noise.
Physical demands include standing for more than one hour and occasionally lifting and carrying objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
