Resident Superintendent - Chelsea

Seeking live-in superintendent for Chelsea properties consisting of approximately 25 units. Duties will include:

· Performing routine janitorial work, including cleaning and inspecting the roof, boiler room, and public portions of the building.

· Taking care of the garbage and recycling on designated days.

· Snow removal when necessary.

· Coordinating access with landlord’s workmen and third-party contractors.

· Monitoring resident repair requests and responding within prescribed guidelines.

Candidates should be able to perform light maintenance work, such as replacing washers, installing smoke alarms, and adjusting pilot lights, etc. Superintendents are expected to be on call for emergencies. The janitorial work should take approximately 10 hours per week. Compensation will be $300 per week, plus the use of an apartment. There will also be opportunity for additional handyman work paid at $20 per hour.
