Job Description:\n\nThis position is primarily responsible for supervising and coordinating activities of workers concerned with ordering, receiving, storing, inventorying, issuing, and shipping materials, supplies, tools, equipment, and parts, in stockroom, warehouse, or yard by performing the following duties personally or though subordinates. An employee working this position must be able to work a flexible and varied schedule including early mornings, late nights, weekends and/or holidays as needed. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Plans layout of stockroom, warehouse, and other storage areas, considering turnover, size, weight, and related factors of items stored. Advises employees on care and preservation of items received, stored, and shipped; methods and use of equipment in handling, storing, maintaining, and shipping stock; and related problems. Studies records and recommends remedial actions for reported non-usable, slow moving, and excess stock. Reviews records for accuracy of information and compliance with established procedures, and to determine adequacy of stock levels. Schedules work for special and periodic inventories. Traces history of items to determine reasons for discrepancies between inventory and stock control records and recommends remedial actions to resolve discrepancies. Determines work procedures, prepares work schedules, and expedites workflow. Issues written and oral instructions. Assigns duties and examines work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures. Studies and standardizes procedures to improve efficiency of subordinates. Maintains harmony among workers and resolves grievances. Prepares composite reports from individual reports of subordinates. Adjusts errors and complaints. Drives trucks / vans. Loads / unloads trucks / vans. Works as an on-site audio/visual technician. Works as an on-site technical director. Resolves shortages in inventory by purchasing / renting to meet the specific demands of a given event. Picks up and returns cross-rentals as needed. Pulls equipment from shelf storage and safely / securely loads it onto a truck, ensuring that nothing be missed from the event’s needs. Accurately receives in and “quality-checks” all equipment coming from an event to ensure its readiness for the next event. Repairs / replaces equipment as needed. Maintains inventory in Flex Rental Management. Maintains overall organization of warehouse. Supports the rest of the office through general support tasks (i.e. emptying trash, basic cleaning, etc). Travels as needed, averaging eighteen days per month. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
